Since its opening to the public in August 2024, the National Security Exhibition Gallery of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) has been well received by the public, with cumulative visits surpassing two million. To mark the occasion, the Gallery organises special publicity activities in October, including free AI commemorative photo-taking, and a quiz game with limited-edition panda plush toys as awards.

From the opening of the Gallery to the new milestone of two million visits, the Gallery has continued to attract an incessant stream of visitors, fully reflecting the high importance attached to and enthusiastic support for national security education by all sectors of society.

The visitors come from all walks of life and sectors, ranging from kindergarten children to senior citizens, which demonstrates the wide popularity and extensive coverage of the Gallery. Visitors generally consider the content of the Gallery as pragmatic, objective, easy to follow, diverse, interesting, educational, and catering to all ages.

The Government will expand the Gallery and enrich its content to promote the concept of “security brings prosperity”. We will update and enhance the exhibition content in response to the latest developments of the country and Hong Kong, including the National 15th Five-Year Plan and the inaugural Five-Year Plan of the HKSAR Government. The Gallery will also display more signature exhibits and incorporate additional interactive elements, enabling members of the public and the younger generation to gain a more comprehensive understanding of national security through diverse means.
